Our client are a government owned agency providing on-going support to both employers and employees across Queensland. They are currently undergoing a major Digital Transformation which is seeing a number of legacy systems replaced, and as such they require an experience Senior Test Automation Engineer to join them on a 12 month contract.

Your role

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer your role will be vast an involve a number of tasks. You will take a leading role within the automation team. You will be pivotal in leading and educating teams on strategies, frameworks and tools, ensuring a highly quality is adopted and maintained. In addition, working closely with developers, you will need to quickly identify opportunities for test automation across platforms, producing timely concepts which can then be evolved into solid solutions.

Your background

You will need to be able to demonstrate recent test automation experience, ideally in agile development teams. Your... technical abilities should include experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Python and Jira as well as programming/scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, Node or Python. Any experience with Github, Nexus or AWS platforms will be highly regarded.

In addition to your technical skills you will need to be a strong communicator, capable of having informative and knowledgeable discussions with stakeholders of various levels across the business. You will also need to be able to work well across diverse teams, resolving problems quickly to ensure a smooth process.

This is an opportunity to join a technical team which has doubled in size over the last 12 months in order to deliver a major digital transformation. As the current projects are replacing a number of legacy systems, you will be joining an environment with limited foundations, allowing you autonomy to lead the direction our client takes. You will be offered a 12 month contract, with a competitive daily rate between $800-$1000per day + super, dependent on your experience. You will join a hybrid environment, with expectations of 1 day in the office per week
