Purpose of the role

The Technology Services Architect works within the Aesop Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) Enterprise Architecture team, and is responsible for the architecture of all technology solutions providing Aesop End User, Technology Delivery, Technology Platforms, Infrastructure and Network services.

The Technology Services architect works very closely with the Heads of DD&T Technology, their teams and partners, who are responsible for the planning, engineering, security, operations and management of customer facing systems, enterprise systems and all supporting technology platforms and services. The architect also collaborates with DD&T Product Managers, other Enterprise, Customer Technology, Data and Security Architects, with Engineering, Partner, and Natura & Co roles.

This role requires senior technology architecture and design expertise, strong design leadership, and excellent planning, collaboration and communication skills. Working within DD&T teams and alongside partners, the role will help shape technology services and engineering roadmaps, identify innovation opportunities and constraints, and architect deliverable, resilient, secure and compliant solutions, aligned with business, technology and architectural strategy.

What a day in this role might look like:
• Consult with with Heads of DD&T Technology, Product Teams and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of objectives, technology services landscape, service design, operating models and technology requirements for all relevant strategic, project and operational initiatives
• Work with Heads of DD&T Technology to produce and maintain technology services strategies and roadmaps
• Provide expert input on design options, implementation opportunities and constraints, platform update and maintenance requirements, including quality, security and compliance obligations
• Identify opportunities for technology solution rationalisation and standardization across regions and markets
• Lead technology architecture, service design and operating model design activities, across product, application, infrastructure, and security teams and partners
• Ensure the documentation of current and proposed architectures, options and technology decisions
• Provide timely and cohesive architecture deliverables for technology services
• Lead proof of concept and prototyping activities with DD&T teams, partners and vendors

What we are looking for:
• Senior experience as an enterprise or technology architect for a complex or multi-national organisation
• Experience architecting modern multi-region cloud based technology solutions, across multiple cloud vendors and services, including integration with enterprise identity and access management services
• Commercial experience delivering high integrity technology platforms, addressing stringent security, compliance, disaster recovery and business continuity planning concerns
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code approaches and modern development processes (Agile delivery) and methods (containerisation, serverless etc)
• Demonstrable experience leading the shaping, design and estimation of project solutions in conjunction with technology subject experts and product management teams
