Senior Clinical Psychologist - Neurodevelopmental Team/CAMHS Intellectual Disabilities
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join an innovative and developing CAMHS Service with a split post working across neurodevelopment and intellectual disabilities. Applications are invited from qualified Clinical Psychologists and final year Trainee Clinical Psychologists (preceptorship option), who have experience, passion and commitment to working with these client groups, their families and the wider network of professionals.

Neurodevelopmental Pathway
Within the CAMHS neurodevelopmental diagnostic team for 7 to 18 year old's, the post holder will draw on a range of psychological models and be able to distinguish between inherent and acquired disorders, particularly mental health, developmental trauma, attachment as well as other neurodevelopment disorders, in order to... contribute to a differential diagnosis. Supervision of a team of Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists will be a key element of the role.
For young people referred to the CAMHS Intellectual Disabilities Service, a dedication to improving the lives of these young people through psychological and systemic formulation will be essential as well as a commitment to advocating for this client group at a wider service and multiagency level. Skills in therapeutic intervention for families and young people alongside a good understanding of the interface with other statutory and voluntary services locally will be important.
The successful candidate will be experienced in working with children, young people and their families and familiar with working through a systemic and trauma informed lens.
