Duties & Responsibilities

The Design Engineer (DE) is responsible for the design of Energy Generation systems. The DE’s scope of work includes the analysis of electrical.
consumption data, sizing of suitable energy generation systems, simulating the performance of conceptual solutions and the detail design of the
selected system. The DE must ensure that all designs are completed professionally, on time, to a high-quality standard and within budget.

Education:
• B Eng (Electrical / Mechanical)
• BSc Eng (Electrical / Mechanical)
• B Tech (Electrical / Mechanical)

Job Experience & Skills Required:
• Min 3 years in Renewable Energy / Electrical Engineering (Solar, Batteries, Hydro etc)
• Software Packages: Helioscope / Homer / Revit
• Reading Proficiency & -Comprehension: Be able to understand and comprehend technical/legal... documentation.
• Communication Proficiency: Be able to clearly liaise, communicate and collaborate with clients, team members and suppliers.
• Professional Relationships: Must continuously build and nourish the professional relationships with clients, suppliers and peers.
• Detail Oriented: Detail design attention is required in every aspect of the installation.
• Driven and Pioneering: Should be able to take the initiative if opportunities for improvements present themselves.
