As a Senior Buyer you will work: Monday - Friday 08:00am till 16:30pm As a Senior Buyer you will be paid between: £32k- 34k per year As a Buyer the role will involve: The Buyer is responsible for the review of material requirements against forecasts and firm demand and raising purchase orders relating to the purchasing of raw materials, components and finished goods required to support production and customer order requirements. Additionally, they will execute buyer standard work such as maintaining MRP system data; Supplier lead-times, contract prices and MOQs. Additionally, there will be an adhoc requirement for purchases of capital and indirect material to support the rest of the business. The buyer is responsible for meeting these objectives while maintaining a productive relationship with the supply base to ensure appropriate focus on quality, delivery and cost. Job Accountabilities:-Analysing demand and customer forecast using MRP to issue purchased orders based on MRP... suggestions
• Reviewing MRP settings relevant to supply planning and purchasing and works with the team to suggest implement changes
• Maintaining master data for purchased materials in MRP (contract pricing, lead time MOQ etc)
• Contributes to group analysis of production requirements
• Regularly reviews and follows up on open purchase orders
• Ensuring suppliers are prioritizing correctly and communicating information back to the business regarding delays and other issues in clear and timely manner
• Indirect material purchasing, price analysis, troubleshooting interruptions to the supply chain, finding new supplies and obtaining quotes
• Supporting accounts payable and receiving to resolve any discrepancies
• Help co-ordinate and facilitate engineering changes working with engineers to communicate obsolescence risk. Minimum Requirements:
• 3-5 years supply chain experience (manufacturing preferred)
• CIPS Level 3 or studying towards
• MRP/ERP Experience required Benefits:
