We have an immediate opening for a: Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator, focus Health and Safety, permanent contract

Role:

· Execute the EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) strategy of Webasto.

· Support and enforce the Webasto EHS Management System (EHS-MS).

· Minimize security risks and improve Safety awareness among employees.

· Live by example... the Webasto EHS values in the plant

· Act as a primary point of contact for all Safety related.

· Support technically all departments in EHS issues.

· Set and follow-up Safety related KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

· Foster and follow-up Near Miss reporting (prevention).

· Continuous improvement Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

· Coordinate and conduct training programs for new joiners and staff.

· Actively being involved in EHS inspections and audit organization.

· Support all other EHS departmental related activities as requested by the plant EHS Manager and Corporate Director of EHS.

· Communication (reporting, presentation) with plant staff and EHS Management Committee.
• Coaching of and providing support to teams in the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety related.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with Production and support groups/departments.
• Manage site permits/authorizations and follow-up on commodo-incommodo related files with authorities or agreed bodies.
• Support in new projects/new equipment construction for EHS related.

Profile:

The role of the EHS Coordinator is essential to the success of the company. Candidates that apply, we would expect them to meet the following criteria:
• Excellent communication skills in English and additionally at least German or French, both German and French is a plus.
• Sufficient practical operational expertise and experience (5+ years) in a similar role in an industrial environment to have credibility at both the Shopfloor and Management levels.

· Broad exposure to and knowledge of EHS in a manufacturing environment

· Academic degree in sciences or engineering.
• Results focused and pragmatic.
• Excellent analytical skills and learning ability.
• Ability to interpret situations and policies at:

• Shopfloor level and communicate upwards
• Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work autonomously and independantly.

· Knowledge of permit requirements, control measures and reporting.

· Knowledge of Health and Safety policies and standards.

· Cooperate with other teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities.

· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

· Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis.

· Leadership in all Safety related.

· Ability to listen to operators while they describe problems with their process and then effectively communicate to them possible solutions.
• Ability to communicate and provide guidance to others who do not directly report to the EHS Coordinator.
