Building Maintenance Engineer - Life Science

Job description

HVAC Life Science Building Mechanic reporting to the Chief Engineer. Commercial Property Management Company is seeking a self-starting Building Maintenance Engineer/HVAC Service Tech who wants to further their career in engineering at a growing urban Life Science campus.

Technical education required. Candidates should have 2 to 3 years’ experience in an Engineering environment, but not necessarily Life Science experience. Candidate should be knowledgeable in HVAC service work, electrical, plumbing, and the general maintenance operations for an office building or Life Science facility. They should have the ability to oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems.

Great customer service skills are important as well as basic computer skills needed to complete work orders, maintenance logs, and other minor administrative duties. Overtime typical to a Building Engineering position is expected and this position will include on call coverage on rotation with the rest of the Engineering staff.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment but will need to work independently if the specific job duties require it.
