Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

The purpose of this role is to help different teams and team members within the bank with a solution to fulfil reporting and analytics needs related to technology and service management data in Chennai for HR Data and Functions Data Platform in general. Primary responsibility of the role will be to design, performance enhancements, integrity, and security of databases for end-to-end business outcomes for HR data requirements. Additionally, the role will build similar capability across other verticals in Functions Data Platform.

What will you be doing?

• Implement best practices of design patterns and architecture
• Code development in SQL Server
• Design, prototype and deliver reusable frameworks and components to be used across HR and Functions Data Platform.
• Understanding of DB design
• Drives execution on the technical aspects of the project requirements
• Writes and verifies code which adheres to the acceptance criteria
• Application of product development & engineering best practices
• Creates and Maintains architecture, framework, technical documentation.
• Establish standards and best practices related to data solutions.
• Provide timely and accurate updates on all necessary forums to all relevant stakeholders.
• Familiarity with python, HIVE, BO, QlikView is a plus

What we’re looking for:

• Hands-on experience of 6 or more years in Software Development and Architecture.
• Expert in MS SQL Server Database with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Well conversant in providing technical solutions, database fine tuning, performance improvement, providing estimation and should be able to justify the same with multiple stakeholders.
• Technical expertise regarding writing technical solution document, release plan, technical live proving plan
• Expert at queries, report testing, writing SQL and presenting findings.
• Hands-on experience of working with Database technologies and experience of transformation of traditional data platform to Bigdata or Cloud platforms will be added advantage.
• Experience of working with Agile methodologies with complete understanding of SDLC

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience of working with an investment bank is highly desirable.
• Understanding of working with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP
