Responsibilities (General)
• Develop and certify materials in Multi Jet Fusion technology
• Integrate materials across end to end process flow
• Develop printer "recipes" to apply agents and fusing energy to materials to improve part quality
• Identify system issues and collaborate to root-cause and resolution
• Develop and document necessary test and characterization methods to evaluate materials performance
• Partner with internal product management, applications, and engineering teams to define optimized solutions
Education
•... Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Typically 4-6 years experience
Desired skills
• Strong command of general principles of Materials Science/Chemical Engineering
• Familiarity with polymer/powder measurement and characterization methods, included but not limited to: DSC, TGA, microscopy, spectroscopy, rheometry, flow characterization, and stress-strain & fracture properties of polymers
• Experimental design (DOE) and data analysis; conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results
• Strong understanding and experience in designing chemical formulations and processes and associated production tooling and processes
• Defining and performing chemical and process analysis to test formulations and resolve manufacturing issues
• Hands-on testing and laboratory/research skills
• Strong integration & problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
• Experience working or researching in multi- or cross-disciplinary teams is a plus
• Experience working in diverse and multi-national teams is a plus
• Experience in 3D printing is a plus
