Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team that is leading Circular Material initiatives across HP. This team provides the core leadership and expertise to inspire, empower, and support HP to achieve our industry-leading 2025 and 2030 goals for postconsumer recycled plastic, single-use plastic packaging, and product reuse. This team provides deep technical & regulatory experience to guide and influence cross-functional innovation across our Personal Systems (PCs & Peripherals), Print, Services, 3D, and emerging businesses. Moreover, this role provides a great opportunity to work with colleagues across R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Government Relations.
Ideal candidates are data driven, experienced in data management processes and tools, knowledgeable of sustainability and circularity fundamentals, familiar with hardware development processes, and eager to make a meaningful impact.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The person in this role will work with peers in the Circular Materials core team, Product Stewards, and partners across HP’s business units to ensure we deliver on our commitments. We are responsible for ensuring we have clear goals and rigorous tools and processes to substantiate our claims. In addition, where innovation is needed, we catalyze or drive efforts to find solutions to challenging problems.
Responsibilities may include:
• Ensure current products are implementing solutions per plan.
• Work with R&D throughout the Product Development Process to ensure new products meet Circularity requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries and support internal partner requests for customer information.
• Lead and support the development and improvement of Circularity processes and tools.
• Develop schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, resource allocation plans and other support requirements for assigned programs
• Coordinate activities of project teams including internal and external development partners; track progress against established plans and make decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
• Communicate project status to a broad array of stakeholders and internal partners. Present summaries to management and team members.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Envionmental Engineering, Physical Sciences, Chemistry or equivalent.
• Typically, 6-10 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
• The most important requirement for this job is passion for customers, passion for technology, passion for the environment, and passion for learning.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
• Excellent skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Power BI, Smart Sheets, SharePoint applications, etc.
• Proven project management skills to lead projects and programs with team members from diverse technical backgrounds.
• Capable of successfully collaborating with others in both in-person and virtual teams.
• Ability to anticipate requirements and take initiative.
• Ability to work with a diverse set of partners, stakeholders, technologists, across the globe.
• Work in situations with modest ambiguity, bring passion to create solutions to problems or issues that arise.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated to make progress towards goals autonomously as needed.
• Willingness to thrive in an ambiguous and a dynamic environment.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to grow with HP into greater positions of influence and responsibility.
• Experience within electronics industry and/or related materials is a strong plus.
