About the opportunity Reporting to the Chief Technology and Architecture Officer we have an opportunity for a Head of Strategic Architecture leading our Enterprise Architecture team. You’ll be responsible to lead and assure e-2-e technical architectural governance, curate the connected architecture strategy, and act as the primary technology engagement for the Customer Strategy and Data & Digital portfolios. As an impactful and engaging Leader, you will head up the strategic platform architecture team, responsible for the short... medium, and long-term strategies for key platforms that underpin the landscape of applications. Working with the Head of Common Platforms, align architectural plans with performance, life cycling, compatibility, and maintainability. You’ll work with the Data technology team, provide aligned data architecture services to support the Data Program and strategy. Owning and administer the enterprise technology architecture governance processes and institutions, to ensure timely, auditable review and decision-making on technology choices. Run the community of practice for all technology architecture practitioners across the Bupa technology teams, ensuring pooled expertise and knowledge sharing. To be successful in this role you’ll need: Engaging & energetic presentation skills and demonstrated ability to influence & drive successful business outcomesProven experience and track record as a technology architecture practitioner or leader of a technology group with architecture disciplines.Experience leading teams of practitioners on direct and indirect basis, particularly with establishing common practices of high quality and effectiveness.Demonstrated grasp of strategy development techniques and ability to work effectively with professional business strategists.Commercial acumen in the context of business growth, with an understanding of technology strategies relative to commercial risk and reward (e.g., build vs buy vs partner etc.)Experience working within matrix structures, with demonstrated ability to broker outcomes effectively and collaboratively with colleagues and peers.Experience working within innovation-centric environments, e.g., within entrepreneurial technology organisations or agencies/consultancy.
