Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer (Focal Point) to join our team in Perth. T his is intially a 6 months contract that could lead to a long term role to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to a new and significant brownfields engineering opportunity with a major player in the LNG industry.

Wood "Operations" delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers with operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Kazakhstan.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer with relevant d esign expertise in brownfields oil and gas projects , you will be reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Lead and working collaboratively across FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery.

Skills / Qualifications

In addition, you will be s uitably qualified in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution and have:
• In-depth technical knowledge of Electrical Engineering - design and operation
• Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards - international and Australian
• Ability to manage risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical and commercial requirements
• Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
• Proven experience managing teams of Engineers
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with proven experience in client facing roles
