Stellenbeschreibung: Role Description Trade Settlement and Confirmation Operations (“TSCO”) is critical settlement function in Japan to cover mainly 8 product lines (Fixed Income, Equity, FX, OTC Derivatives, Investment Trust Funds, Loan, Nostro Management and Money Market operation) cross investment bank business and corporate bank business, supporting both internal and external client’s transactions for both Deutsche Securities Inc and Deutsche Bank AG Tokyo branch. External clients are mainly the financial institutions including regional bank, trust banks and asset management, Insurance, Corporate, Unlisted clients, and so on. This role is responsible for day to day process management in Day 1, required a basic understanding of front 2 bank life cycle or each function (Settlement) for one of above products, especially for fixed income Currencies (FX, OTC derivatives, Investment Trust Funds) as this is key focus product. However, other product line’s experience and knowledge is also... welcome. In addition to day to day process, this role would work closely with the business and operations regionally and globally for building robust settlement workflow solutions and effective system design, in addition to maintain the required control governance framework. Coverage to be extended to Loan operations in Japan. Manage FX and OTC derivatives related projects, coordinating with other APAC/EMEA locations and technology on operational process, regulatory, and system related change implementation. Perform end to end settlement and detail analysis for process improvements. Implement procedure and control changes in response to regulatory and policy changes. Exceptional management/ Internal & External issue management Client facing – providing the client service and managing client issue solving Experience/ Qualifications: Strong desire to learn the current operational flow and seek for more efficient workflow for further develop team members and for free up space for the capacity. (Preferable) 2-3+ years’ experience in the investment banking industry in either Operations, middle office, or Project Management. (Preferable) Direct Customer support / Client Service / Post Sales service experience preferred (Preferable) Knowledge to have FI Bond, FX, Equity, Loan, Treasury operations preferred but not mandatory Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Japanese and English) Ability to manage the multi tasks simultaneously Ability to sort out the issue / situation logically. Strong mind-set for the time critical tasks and able to meet the deadlines/cut offs. Be willing to continuously invest in self-learning/training to stay abreast of constantly changing industry trends / client requirements and newer products /processes Strong mindset to challenge for moving to next-gen platform and re-engineer current processes to meet changing needs of the business. Some knowledge and exposure to digital tools will be useful, e.g. Alteryx, SQL, VBA, Python programming. If not, strong desire to get such digital knowledge Educated to University degree level or relevant work experience. Must be native level Japanese, with strong verbal skills and written communication skills in English. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A team player who can work effectively with people all at levels, and across all areas, to achieve the goals of the group. Ability to cope well in a changing and challenging environment.
