Hotel Peter & Paul is:

A partnership between ASH NYC and Nathalie Jordi. In our world, a hotel is much more than a destination to meet, dine, or sleep. Instead, it's a dynamic site of imagery and emotions, interactions and sensations manifesting within the walls of a beautifully restored local legend. Hotel Peter & Paul is a 71-room hotel in a former Catholic school, rectory, church and convent nestled in the residential Marigny neighborhood, just downriver from the French Quarter. Former parishioners and our residential neighbors are still part of the local fabric. The Elysian Bar, our restaurant / bar / coffee shop, created in partnership with the team behind Bacchanal. Bon Appetit magazine named it one of the top 10 new restaurants in the country in 2019.

About you:

Hotel Peter and Paul's General Manager will be a seasoned jack-of-all-trades in hospitality who can... supervise the hotel's overall operations, sales, marketing and logistics while embracing the brand behind the business. This is a role for someone who enjoys being the face of an organization and understands all that entails: balancing budgets, tending to payroll, and curating talent all while exuding warmth and charm. Going back and forth from right brain to left brain — creative to strategic — we're seeking a General Manager who will uphold our values of authenticity, beauty, courtesy, detail and depth. This person will be the primary business leader with responsibility for all aspects of the hotel, including guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance and an internal culture of excellence, accountability, diversity and collaboration.

Role responsibilities:
• Develop and execute annual budget and operating plan
• Provide leadership and management for team members across all departments
• Direct reports include Assistant General Manager, Director of Housekeeping, Director of Front Office, HR Manager, Sales Manager, Director of Maintenance, and security supervisor. It is the GM's responsibility meet weekly with and hold department heads accountable for progress
• Develop and implement training programs that ensure HPP team members execute outstanding performance and elevate guest experience
• Prioritize employee retention and a positive, creative and equitable work environment
• Mitigate guest and internal conflicts gracefully and with the goal of resolution and of repeat business by loyal, loving guests
• Ensure all happenings on the property are within brand standards and reflect our values
• Develop and maintain strong ties with all commercial tenants, venues, F&B outlets and associates of Hotel Peter and Paul
• Oversee and direct F&B operations for select outlets within the property, with passionate adherence to ASH brand standards

We are seeking a candidate who:
• Has exceptional communication skills - there is no such thing as over-communicating; Must work impeccably in a team with a natural tendency towards leadership, professionalism, and collaboration
• Pays extraordinary attention to detail, meets deadlines, follows up and through - no inquiry goes unanswered
• Works well in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Is creative and curious, especially in the fields of hospitality, food and beverage, music, design and art and has superb awareness of New Orleans' market, hotel industry, and overall cultural scene
• Cares to be a good neighbor, easily liaises with local stakeholders, and ideally has ties with commercial associates and city influencers.
• Can intuitively and organically cultivate memorable experiences that will resonate with our guests, team members, business associates, vendors, city officials and neighbors. The art of hosting is a responsibility you enjoy and value.
• At least 5 years experience in hotels and hospitality is required; prior GM experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
• Base salary between $90,000-$120,000 commensurate with experience
• Annual discretionary performance bonus
