We are offering an opportunity for a Clinical Psychology Intern in our Psychology Services at Te Whatu Ora.

The Internship will be for a fixed term period of 12 months. We are able to offer valuable learning opportunities in a combination of services following discussion with the successful applicant concerning their preferences. Opportunities exist in the speciality areas of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services , Adult Community Mental Health and Mental Health Services for Older People

The successful candidate will receive appropriate supervision and opportunity to experience working in community/outpatient/inpatient settings in the Taranaki Region and to be part of the multi-disciplinary team(s) according to their selected specialities.

The successful candidates will:

- Be enrolled with an approved Doctor of Clinical Psychology or Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology Programme.
- Eligible to apply for registration with the NZ Psychologists Board as an Intern... Psychologist.
- Have the support of appropriate academic professionals from their university.
- Be enthusiastic and keen to learn and experience new environments. Psychologists work from the DHB’s base hospital in New Plymouth and its satellite clinics in Hawera & Stratford. In some services psychologists will also deliver services in community settings.
