Position Specific Description

The Oil Liquids Trading team is seeking a front-line senior trader to join the desk in a commercial role. It is anticipated that this person will be given immediate trading responsibilities to generate pnl and support existing and new business opportunities. You will be expected to build and maintain pricing and risk models, prepare presentations, perform pnl analytics and undertake detailed fundamental analysis of multiple markets such as crude oil, refined products and NGLs. There will be substantial interface with the risk, credit, mid-office, and back-office teams. The candidate should already have an advanced knowledge of the competitive landscape and commodities trading including swaps, options, and physical markets. Specific knowledge of oil liquids is required.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for trading energy commodities, options, heat rates, and energy products in various markets the tenure of trade ranges from intraday through 5 years, depending on assigned book. Individuals apply a high level of competency in trading strategies, physical market knowledge, regulatory market design, and competitive marketplace profile.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Performs individual research, deal entry management, and monthly reconciliation
• Makes markets for asset optimization groups that are responsible for hedging company's nationwide generation portfolio
• Applies knowledge of multiple trading transaction systems
• Manages a profitable proprietary trading book
• Trains less experienced traders
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 2+ years

• Bachelor’s Degree
