LOGISTICS OFFICER

The logistics officer is responsible for all logistics related activities in G4S. He/she provides support

in the areas of inventory, projecting, ordering and pre-staging equipment for deployment. He/she is

also responsible for procurement planning, transportation, and storage.

Job Description

- Responsible for the movement of domestic and international goods in compliance with local and

international laws.

- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing and carriers

- Follow trends to identify alternative ways to improve the logistic services in the company

- Plan and track the shipment of products according to company requirements

- Coordinate pre-shipping instructions and work with service providers on movements.

- Coordinate requests for shipment of materials from point of origin to point of destination

- Responsible for shipping canceled or damaged items back to suppliers.

- Responsible for packing, marking, labeling and measuring cargo to provide... accurate weight and

dimensions.

- Assist in sourcing reliable suppliers for electronic goods and services both at the local and

international level

- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements

- Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualification and Skills Required:

● Bachelor’s degree in logistics and supply chain management

● Understanding of transportation limitations and regulations

● Knowledge of logistics systems and data analysis

● Strong organizational and time management skills

● Results driven

● Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Sheet, Google Word, Powerpoint and

other logistics software.
