The Coaching & Development team is looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain a cornerstone of UKG's core Human Capital Management (HCM) suite of products. The Coaching & Development product is a key product in the future of performance reviews in helping support holistic performance management through reviews and continuous feedback.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will:

• Lead the development of new customer features and fixing critical issues across both web and mobile... interfaces.

• Foster the culture of driving quality software in a timely manner and continuously improve the development process.

• Discover and share emerging industry trends and seek opportunities to incorporate them in the team's work.

• Mentor other team members, helping them grow their technical and non-technical knowledge.

• Empower your team members from UX and Product Management to build the best-in-class performance management product in the market.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development and automated testing.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, design patterns, code reviews, build processes and testing.

• Development experience with object-oriented languages like Java and front-end frameworks like React or Angular.

• Development experience with web services, APIs, and microservices architecture.

• Experience with CQRS and Event sourcing architectural patterns.

• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and Rabbit.

• Experience with relational database such as SQL/NoSQL Databases like MySQL, MongoDB.

• Experience writing and debugging complex automated tests at all levels of testing.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong understanding of modern automated testing frameworks, tools and techniques.

• Proficiency with testing methodologies like contract testing, black/white box testing, unit testing, regression testing.

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

• Able to discuss technical challenges with non-technical people.

• Experience with containers and orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes
