• Manage aspects of design, studies and commissioning activities associated with the various
• projects, including delegation and supervision of personnel within the team where required
• Undertake HV Power Systems analysis studies, electrical design, and commissioning
• Manage project budgets to ensure cost effectiveness
• Provide a detailed project schedule for individual projects
• Provide detailed progress reports on time within the nominated reporting period
• Undertake and ensure all Statutory responsibilities as nominated RPEQ engineer are fulfilled
• Manage client interface and expectations to ensure a mutual and positive relationship is maintained
• Consistently promote high work ethical standards through personal example and effective
• mentoring

Qualifications And Requirements
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• Experience 15 years in the mining, construction, and power generation industries is desirable
• Registered as CPEng with Engineers Australia
• Registered as RPEQ Engineer with BPEQ
• Knowledge of the Mining Act & Regulations (Coal and Metalliferous)
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of AS3000, AS2067, AS3007 and associated
• Standards
• Thorough knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in protection design and philosophy to IEC and IEEE standards
• Broad knowledge base regarding design and operations of power systems in general, specifically high voltage
• High Voltage expertise - Primary and Secondary testing and commissioning & exposure to IEC
• 61850
• Proficient working knowledge across Microsoft packages: Excel, Project, Word
• Working knowledge of ETAP, SafeGrid, PowerCad, SKM Power Tools is desirable
• Working knowledge of Digsilent is highly regarded
