WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
• Must be 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred
• Work schedule: First shift 7:00 am – 3:00 pm with off days of Thursday and Friday. Weekends shifts are required. A 2-week training program (Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) is required upon hire.
• Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
• Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.

Hillcrest Youth Services is currently seeking a full-time Youth Care Worker (1st shift - off Tues/Wed or off Wed/Thurs) to add to our team of professionals. This position will be responsible for the supervision of the youth in our residential program.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
• Supervision of residents.
• Work schedule: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm with off days of Tuesday and Wednesday OR Wednesday and Thursday each week. Weekend shifts are required. All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program on a schedule of M - F 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Ability to be a positive role model.
• Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents.
• Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times.
• Maintain complete and accurate resident records.
• Ability to manage personal stress.
• Administer appropriate medication(s).
• Knowledge of policy and procedure manual.
• Transportation of residents.
• Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit.
• Ability to work with youth of all ages.
• Previous work with juveniles highly preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming
