Responsibilities
• Understand specific customers' technical requirements and advise the sales team on the correct choice of components
• Take ownership of customer technical issues and co-ordinate that the necessary internal resources required to resolve the issue and ensure they are acted on in a timely manner
• When necessary, support out-of-hours technical support to customers located worldwide
• Design, build, and test systems to demonstrate or measure performance parameters in new or novel ways to aid the design-in process for customers or to root cause customer issues
• Generate, edit and review datasheets and support documentation and training materials
• Create demonstrations, evaluation boards, and application notes
• Travel to regional offices and/or distributors to provide in-depth technical training
• Provide feedback to the new product development teams about the customer needs/requirements
• Collaborate with other business units, marketing, engineering, and sales to... create total system solutions for our customers

Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Electronics or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Significant hands-on test, measurement and debug skills (comfort working with Oscilloscopes, Power meters, BER testers, programmable power supplies, etc.)
• Knowledge of digital communication circuits and data buses
• Direct experience testing the physical layer of logic and data communications equipment
• Flexibility to travel worldwide and to be available to customers outside of normal working hours
• Excellent technical writing skills
