INTERIOR/NIGHT is an award-winning video game studio based in London, England.Founded in 2016 by CEO and Creative Director, Caroline Marchal, the team is approximately 35 people from diverse personal and professional backgrounds with a 50/50 gender split and more than 13 nationalities represented.In July 2022, INTERIOR/NIGHT released our debut game “As Dusk Falls”, a critically-acclaimed crime drama published by Microsoft on Xbox and Steam.It won a TGA for “Games for Impact”, whilst being nominated for a further TGA and twice-nominated at the Golden Joysticks 2022. The game was also officially selected for the Tribeca Festival, as well as receiving critical plaudits with 9/10 scores in IGN and GameSpot, 4/5 scores with Gamesradar+, The Guardian and NME as well as earning a “Recommended” from Eurogamer.With a focus on bringing more people to games by offering accessible experiences closer to prestige television and film, we endeavour to create mature stories to play with people you... love, everywhere.

We are looking for a developer to join the studio responsible for the award-winning narrative game “As Dusk Falls”. The role’s primary function is to help build the systems that allow our content creators to effectively and efficiently create the content for our game. Although they will be involved with all parts of the game code, they will have the chance to specialise in specific areas based on interest and need. The ideal candidate loves working on narrative games and enjoys figuring out new pipelines and workflows.

This is a permanent position.

We are a Hybrid Studio.

Responsibilities:
• Working with content creation teams to develop efficient workflows for those teams
• Creating and maintaining custom development tools and extensions in Unity
• Creating external tools and scripts to automate pipelines
• Development of various parts of the core logic for the game in Unity based on experience and affinity (e.g. multiplayer, lighting systems, UI systems)
• Daily support for the content teams using your systems and tools

Requirements:
• Experience with game engines
• Comfortable in C#
• A good working knowledge of common game development pipelines
• Experience with development in Unity is a plus
• Experience with tools creation is a plus
• Experience in a particular area such as UI or multiplayer is a plus
• A professional and result-driven attitude
• Great deduction skills and a service-oriented mindset
• A broad interest and drive to take on any aspect of the game code that needs work
• Be creative and driven to find solutions to new challenges
• Good communication skills in English (both oral and written)
