Wyong Christian Community School, a ministry of Wyong Baptist Church, is situated on a spacious 28 acres on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Blessed with a peaceful rural setting, the school has offered quality Christian Education to the local community since its inception as a primary school in 1993. The school has now become a K-12 school of over 750 students, all operating on the one campus.

Applications are invited for the position of full-time Creative Arts Learning Leader (Head of Faculty) from experienced Secondary Teachers with a strong commitment to Christian education to commence in Term 2.

The Learning Leader’s position focuses on curriculum leadership, participating in delivering the vision of the school, focusing on developing the quality of teaching and learning... and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.

Selection Criteria
• Affirm a personal belief in the school’s Statement of Faith as well as active involvement within their local church.
• Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
• Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, parents and other staff.
• Facilitate student learning to enable all students achieve their God-given potential.
• Possess proven positive classroom discipline strategies and a desire to pastorally care for, and actively minister to their students.
• Effectively utilise technology within the learning environment.
• Experience in teaching Music and being involved in School Musical’s would be an advantage.
• A good understanding and experience with Explicit Instruction would be an advantage.
