UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT
Our client, seeks a technical synergetic, visionary, innovative and entrepreneurial individual with a demonstrated record of effective business and academic leadership. The President is the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer of the University and should demonstrate remarkable business acumen and strategic vision to propel the University to become the premier provider of superior quality technical learning opportunities in the Caribbean.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the changing nature of higher education, the increasingly competitive landscape and be able to initiate, establish and maintain mutually enriching and rewarding relationships with the private and public sectors, the University alumni, immediate community and other stakeholders. The President should represent the University’s interests at the national, regional and international levels and facilitate development of an environment that... stimulates a culture of excellence in research capabilities.
The President should be technologically savvy to include social media application and trends. He/she should be able to apply new approaches for student learning and develop high-quality academic programmes. The President will provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of the long-term strategic plan, annual operational plan, manage the University’s budget, explore new funding models and pursue strategies to ensure financial stability.
This intellectually stimulating and challenging position requires a motivated, student-centric and inspirational leader with strong communication skills and an open, transparent and collaborative management style.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
• Training in Educational Leadership.
• Training in Strategic Corporate Planning.
• At least ten (10) years professional managerial and leadership experience in the business, industry or academia.
• Experience in academic leadership would be an asset.
• Evidence of academic research with published articles in professional and technical journals, newspapers and other publications.

REMUNERATION
• Compensation will be in accordance with the University’s policy and guidelines and commensurate with the responsibilities of a University.
