MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with an expanding Irish company seeking a highly skilled and experienced cyber security expert to Head up their SOC Engineering Department, developing and implementing the strategy for our security operations center (SOC).

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the SOC Engineering team, ensuring that they are aligned with the overall SOC strategy, and will lead the team in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the SOC strategy, aligned with the organization's overall security strategy, to address current and emerging security risks
• Working very closely with the SOC engineering manager to ensure that they are delivering SOC services and monitoring to ensure the protection of the company's assets and operations
• Establish and maintain SOC standards and procedures, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Manage... the SOC budget and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address security risks across the organization
• Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in SOC and security management

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Experience leading a SOC Engineering function or Information Security service.
• Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and risk management methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
