Description Scopely is looking for a driven Tech Product Manager to join our Star TrekTM Fleet Command . By being the voice of Technology in the Product group you will be helping to create well-balanced roadmaps. For that you will work with core tech teams, the feature teams and the senior tech leadership to build and maintain the technology and internal tools aspects of the roadmap.You will also report on progress, risks, completions on technical projects as well on technical performance and code health. Moreover you will make sure we celebrate technical achievements. This role is for someone with a technical background and excellent communication and stakeholder skills.You will report to the Technical Director of the Technical Cluster.We're working hard on becoming the best strategy game developer on the planet and for that we have to balance game features and game technology development. • Be heavily... involved in roadmap planning, pre-production and production
• Make sure that technical topics are not getting stuck or lost in any of our development phases
• Work with all tech and feature teams to understand their top technical priorities that are not yet on the roadmap
• Work with all teams to understand their needs in regards to tools and workflows
• Review together with the team and the key 'internal customers' the usability and efficiency of existing and new tools. Don't settle for anything that is not best-in-class
• Work with QA and the users to prioritise bug fixes for our internal tools
• Be part of the product team that defines our holistic roadmap and make sure technical and tooling epics are well represented
• Have a good understanding of each technical epic on the roadmap so you can help explaining to stakeholders why it's of higher priority than other epics
• Work with the production team to make sure all technical work is tracked correctly
• Work with QA and he tech teams to make sure technical work is tested and approved by QA for release
• Make sure technical topics are listed correctly in our release notes
• Be part of our sprint retro-perspectives
• Actively making sure that all users of our internal tools are successful and happy with our tools
• Gather regularly the technical KPIs from all technical leads and share them as unified report to the leadership group
• Be proactive and available for development teams, helping to answer questions, make decisions and resolve concerns.
• Manage project stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Attend Scrum Ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint kick offs, sprint reviews, retrospectives etc.)
To do this job, you will need:
• Experience working with development teams
• Ability to understand technical concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain technical topics in a simplified way to stakeholders
• To have managed stakeholder relationships successfully before
• To have worked in a product owner or project manager or technical producer role before
• A positive and outcome oriented attitude
• To be well organised and very disciplined
• Some experience on reporting KPIs
• A genuine interest in tools, effective workflows and UX
• Experience with working with teams that use Scrum or other Agile methodologies
While not mandatory, below are some nice to haves:
• Background in Software Engineering
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including customers
• Experience in UX
• Experience in software tools or software-as-a-service
