Job Overview

Our client, based in West Cork, is looking for a Production Shift Supervisor/Manager to join their food manufacturing facility (not meat) in a full time permanent, shift pattern role, with an attractive salary and benefits package on offer. Do you have a Food Science/Process Engineering degree or a related degree?

Coupled with minimum 3 years Production Supervision experience gained in a FOOD manufacturing environment OR 7 years+ Production Management Experience?

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
-Lead the Operator team working on the shift, ensuring that the production process runs safely, reliably, and efficiently.
-Ensure the production plan and priorities for the shift are met.
-Create a shift schedule, assign duties and monitor team performance, ensuring standards are met or... exceeded.
-Coach team members on an ongoing basis and train new operators on how to safely use equipment and follow procedures, with the needs of the Customer always in mind.
-Proactively engage with Maintenance, Quality and other functions at all times in order to ensure maximum collaboration.
-Be adaptable, optimistic, resilient and embrace change.

-Provide comprehensive end-of-shift Handover Report that facilitates immediate and urgent follow- up to specific issues as required.
-Attend production-related meetings to share information, develop plans, and discuss issues in a proactive, solution-focused way.
-Lead projects, as required.
