Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and Deploy Apache Spark and Scala programs in a very dynamic and challenging work environment
• Help write analytics code, services and components in Java, Apache Spark, and related technologies such as Scala and Pyspark (Python)
• Systems analysis - Design, Coding, Unit Testing and other SDLC activities
• Requirement gathering and understanding, Analyze and convert functional requirements into concrete... technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates
• Work proactively, independently and with global teams to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
• Work as a Dev-Ops team member to successfully monitor and maintain Operational processes

Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of working experience in Software development with 3+ years in Spark development using Scala and Pyspark
• 3+ years of Implementation experience on time-critical production projects following key software development practices
• Hands on experience of migration to Big data using Spark (Scala /Spark)
• Hands-on development experience in Spark programming, particularly in Scala. Good to have experience of Spark development using Pyspark
• Experience in Database technologies including MySQL and NOSQL DBs like Cassandra, etc.
• Working experience on cloud technologies (Azure is a plus)
• Exposure to following DevOps methodology and creating CI/CD deployment pipeline
• Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD (Containerization using Dockers)
• Ability to learn modern technologies and be part of fast paced teams
• Ability to guide junior team members and shoulder technical leadership responsibilities to lead team and provide solutions
• Strong Communication skills (written and Verbal)
• Good Knowledge of Hadoop Ecosystem and related components
• Sound understanding of Apache Spark architecture and its practical implementation in clustered environment
• Ability to understand the existing application codebase, perform impact analysis and update the code when required based on the business logic or for optimization
• Sound understanding of running applications on a Containerized platform (Docker/ Kubernetes)
• Excellent Analytical and Communication skills (Both Verbal and Written)

Preferred Qualifications:
• US healthcare experience
• Experience on Streaming application (Kafka, Spark Streaming etc.)
• Exposure to any cloud based PAAS architecture and running spark application on top of it
• Experience on Python and associated Python Packages
• US Healthcare domain experience
• Exposure to job schedulers like Airflow and ability to create and modify DAGs
• Exposure to streaming technologies and working knowledge of Kafka, Spark streaming etc.
• Comfortable to work in Data analytic platforms, understanding the workflow of streaming ingestion, Data enrichments and migration efforts
• Understanding of Agile framework and concept of Scrum etc.
• Basic understanding on data analytics/ ML algorithms and implementation
