2BM Recruitment are working in partnership with our client in Deeside with a permanent requirement for a Toolmaker, working fulltime Monday to Friday 6am -2pm & 2pm -10pm weekly rotating shifts. Excellent opportunity to join an established, growing organisation within the engineering/ manufacturing industry as a Toolmaker.

Job Details:

As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and renewal of a variety of power press punch, form tooling, wire forming tooling, jigs & fixtures to the required product quality and manufacturing demand. You will get involved with tooling related projects ensuring customer timescales and budgets are met. Ensure tools are scheduled to meet demand and support the maintenance team. Competently operate a range of metal removal equipment including conventional and CNC millers, lathes, surface grinders and drills. Refurbishment and maintenance of press tooling equipment. Designing and manufacturing new tooling. Maintain adequate... supplies of tooling spares and consumables / materials. Read and generate technical engineering / tooling drawings. Seek ways to prevent re-occurring tooling faults, extend tool life, reduce maintenance, and increase productivity / quality of the process via tooling improvements. Monitor tool performance, highlight, and resolve re-occurring issues. To design, develop and manufacture new tooling / fixtures for new and existing products in line with best practice. Create tooling drawings where appropriate. To assist in product development activities, manufacture proto-types whilst adhering to all quality and health & safety procedures.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills / qualifications / attributes:

Candidates must be apprentice trained or time served as a Toolmaker. You will have the required skills to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment and operating cnc millers, lathes, grinders, and drills to repair, renew and maintain metal forming, and piercing press tools equipment. You will have a track record of improving production processes via re-engineering of press tool designs.

Your Pay & Benefits:
