So, what will you be doing as a Manufacturing Engineer? Analyze equipment downtime/efficiency/issues to determine improvement opportunities and implement Review electrical component technologies/suppliers for equipment specifications and sourcing decisions Research new technologies and investigate incorporating into new or existing equipment Evaluate feasibility of integrating new products/technologies into existing equipment Analyze and implement the programming requirements for different processes on Automation/Production lines Propose and implement ideas to improve and standardize programming methodology of new and existing equipment Work with maintenance technicians to understand project requirements/troubleshoot controls issues Maintain programming documentation and adhere to company software backup strategy Develop and implement Best Practices Program modifications on current vision systems for new products or new inspection features Upgrade current vision systems, evaluate vision system designs and evaluate feasibility of new applications in vision lab Troubleshoot vision issues on current equipment Develop validation/calibration methods and implement periodic calibration Participates actively in the requirement to retain ISO
9001, IATF
16949 certification Responsible for knowing and upholding the H&S Policy and for working in a safe manner and reporting all unsafe or unhealthy conditions or acts Completes any other assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
Preferably completed a BS in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics or a Diploma for Industrial Automation at a recognized university/college or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years programming experience

Able to program and troubleshoot equipment that use PLCs and HMIs Proficient with Rockwell (Logix
5000) and Omron (Sysmac) Demonstrated ability to modify existing operations on work cells using PLC programming Interfacing PLC commands with external devices such as robots and vision systems Proficient with the Industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Ether

CAT, RS-232, RS-485, etc.

Able to work with RS View to develop HMI applications

Must have knowledge of Servo motors and interfacing PLC commands to servos Proficient with Cognex, Omron and Keyence vision systems Knowledge of Robotics (Fanuc, Motoman) Must understand quality/manufacturing/engineering methods/practices (OEE
