Secondary Care Psychological Services in Newham delivers a comprehensive NHS psychological therapies service for people presenting with severe and complex mental health problems. We provide a high- quality clinical service, where flexible and complex interventions are available across a range of therapy models and modalities, which are accessed via... health professionals in the community. The service delivery is informed by attention to the social, cultural, economic and political context of psychological problems to ensure that the service meets the needs of the Boroughs diverse population. The post holder will work both working the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Service in Secondary Care Psychological Services (SPS) and across the Primary Care Networks (PCNs). The post holder will work autonomously delivering specialist psychodynamic individual and group interventions to Service Users with complex needs. There will be opportunities to develop indirect work, supervision, and teaching/ training skills. Experience of working with complex mental health problems in NHS settings is essential. The job offers a great opportunity to further develop skills; as well as regular supervision, there are forums for support and professional development.
