Amida are working with a Tier One Main Contractor to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work from their regional office in Berkshire.

One site you will report into a Senior Quantity Surveyor who will manage projects ranging in value of between £5m - £25m. Projects will be primarily based in the Public Sector and experience of leading schemes through two-stage procurement and pre-construction experience as well as delivery in construction is required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend tender presentations for new projects, contribute, lead commercially and present figures for adjudications
• Prepare, monitor and oversee subcontract procurement, compile trade contract bid documents and carry out tender analysis and issue purchase orders
• Provide accurate turnover forecasts for inclusion within business unit Forward Order Book document on a monthly... basis
• Overall project financial control
• Look for opportunities to batch up works where possible and gain economies of scale benefits
• Ensure that off-site, modern methods of construction options are investigated and pursued wherever possible for all projects as early in the process as possible to maximise any available benefits

Skills and experience:
• Relevant trade / technical / degree qualified –
• MRICS or MCUIB preferred or working towards either accreditation
• Experience of managing and running commercial aspects of a project
• Exposure to working with JCT and NEC FoC
