Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Derby (Hybrid working) Duration: 12 Months Pay: Up to £450 per day - Umbrella (Depending on Experience) Are you a Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in the Water Industry? My client, a leading design & build contractor in the water sector are looking for a Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS to join their team carrying out principal contractor duties on behalf of Severn Trent Water's AMP 7 projects. They have got the framework for the entire AMP7 cycle bringing us through until 2025. Candidates will need to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week however the client are happy for the rest of the 5 day week to be remote. They have workable offices in Derby. Candidate's with water sector experience would be a strong preference. This position would suit someone who is used to planned works and working to forecast dates, especially with a water industry... background, desired by the client. Important: The client has stressed they want to build a team culture that is key to working towards a project goal. People who are ambitious to develop there career are a must, who can effectively work with others and deal with pressure well. Key deliverables: Develop and Maintain sustainable business relationships with client and Subcontractors. Support the Project Commercially to undertake procurement activities Contract/Subcontract administration, including (valuations), final accounts, increase value, reduce cost, change management, Commercial risk, and cash management. Workload targets and deadline for reporting, and maintaining delivery against these. Presentation of Commercial reports in the format to support internally and externally, Assist on providing legal and contractual advice, identification and reduction of commercial risks, supporting commercial resources as appropriate. Candidates who are degree qualified and/or RICS Accredited will be well received
