About The Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a graduate Finance / Accounting student looking for their first entry level position. This full-time Junior Accountant role will report to the Head of Finance to ensure all monthly processes and reports are completed accurately and on time. You will also provide support in other areas as required.

Some Of The Responsibilities Of This Role May Include
• Oversee bank transaction clearing on a weekly basis and co-ordinate the processing of relevant... journals
• Prepare monthly invoices for issuance to clients
• Prepare month end general ledger journals
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain monthly prepayment schedule
• Maintain and perform monthly analysis of lease commitments and IFRS16 reporting
• Oversee the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Prepare interim & year-end statutory audit documentations
• Review and process employee expense claims to ensure they are in accordance with the company’s internal control regulations
• Maintain up-to-date vendor master data in Xero
• Prepare purchase orders for order placement with vendors
• Maintain and record purchase invoices from vendors
• Assist in month end reporting requirements for local and group reportings
• Assist in monthly internal control management
• Support where required on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Accounting roles
• Support in investor and stakeholder periodic reporting
• Any other tasks as deemed appropriate

About You
• Proficient in written and verbal English
• University Degree - major in Finance / Accounting
• 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience preferred
• Prior experience working in a start-up is an added advantage
• A committed, self-motivated individual with a strong ability to learn and a “go getter” with loads of initiative and the ability to multitask with time pressures
• Ability to work autonomously while being a strong team player
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management
• Organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Currently undergoing or eligible to complete CA/CPA accreditation.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience with Xero will be highly regarded
