WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
As part of the Consumer Brand Management area in Marketing, we are looking for someone with strong inspiration and commitment to understand consumer behavior, identifying trends and market opportunities which can be translated into wholistic territory plans to inspire, connect, and activate, build and strengthen our relationship with consumers, athletes, clubs, catalyst and the overall sports ecosystem, more specifically connected to lifestyle and sneaker culture.
The Lifestyle Brand Marketing Director has expertise on street and sneaker culture, music scene, creative and digital platforms, and dance; seniority in processes like brand planning, strategic planning and execution, creative and strategic thinking, consumer insight & connection, and requires a strong aptitude to work with cross functional teams as he/she partners and coordinates with Marketing functions and Nike’s Geography at WHQ to guarantee effective alignment. He/She is able to capture market insights and requirements, coordinating and influencing geography and global teams and their plans.
Lifestyle Brand Marketing Director has the responsibility to build and develop a world-class marketing team. The final output of the Director’s work will be to drive seamless journeys that connect sport and movement, key city moments, products and stories, with the consumer’s life and its involvement with sport.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
You will be leading the Nike de Mexico Lifestyle Brand plans: design, support, implement, execute and evaluate broader city strategy; integrating marketing planning and overseeing of processes that enable timely and effective implementation by the cross-functional team. You will also lead the development of briefs and managing of creative partners and agencies by thinking, creating through the lens of online to offline vision and building strong consumer relationships that start with digital (specifically mobile) and connect seamlessly to real-life marketing such as retail experiences, digital and physical events, specifically on the sport and lifestyle scenes. Other areas would include expand the brand’s closest connection to the consumer trends, including aspirations, behaviors, interests, needs and values. This will include formal and informal research, evaluating and distilling the findings. You will also work on maintaining a collaborative, highly creative and progressive work with cross functional teams to identify industry, city, influencer, athletes, lifestyle and sport trends. You will manage budget and cost-efficient implementation of resources and support brand reporting and recapping process, periodically. You will build and develop a world-class team.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
The role is part of the Consumer Brand Management team, where you will lead the Brand Marketing Lifestyle pillar, that responds to the Brand Marketing Lifestyle construct, reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Director and having a Lifestyle Brand Managers reporting into you. You will also work cross-functionally with Sports Marketing, Consumer Direct Marketing, Integrated Media, Creative Marketing functions of the Marketing team, merchandising and marketplace teams.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing or related experience in marketing strategy, marketing planning, brand marketing and sports and/or lifestyle marketing.
• Strategic and creative thinking.
• Genuine passion and knowledge of sport and lifestyle, street and sneaker culture, youth culture, the Mexico City consumer and Nike brand.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. High level fluent English.
• Ability to balance creativity with organizational and procedural excellence in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Excellent teamwork.
• Experience in people management and development.
• Commitment to roll up sleeves to help Nike meet its collective goals.
• Familiarity and working experience in Mexico City are highly preferred.
• Key experience profiles include digital marketing and consumer brand.
• Strong skills in keynote presentations, synthetization of information and multitasking.
