Our client, a leading wrapping equipment manufacturer, is looking for a Service Technician to join their team in Bolton, ON.

Reports To: Service Manager

Works with: Technicians, Padding Line Technician, Customers, Padding Line Mechanic, Shop Mechanic, Parts Assistants.

Job Summary: Providing service and customer support during field visits, managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions.

Specific Responsibilities
• Travel in Canada and the USA on short notice to support out customer needs
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
• Follow... lock out procedures and wear personal protective equipment
• Equipment installation
• Conduct Training of operators, maintenance
• Customer technical enquiries
• Diagnosis and repair of wrapping equipment
• Q/C and Preventive maintenance of equipment
• Un-Crate and Crate equipment for Shipping
• Rebuilding of Wrappers
• Working with Controls/ PLC
• Stand by status as per the "on call schedule"
• Advise the Sales Manager of sales opportunities that might exist at work sites
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety of maintenance shop and facility
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Continuous improvement in company policies and procedures
• Coverage for planned and unplanned absences which could compromise our policies, procedures and programs
• Cross training of others in your department Operation
• Carry out duties as assigned by Service Manager

Education & Experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in refrigerated environment
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Mechanical maintenance experience is necessary
• Electrical maintenance experience is an asset
• Forklift experience/ operator certificate
• Experience working in a food manufacturing facility is preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
