Newman Operations is the largest Mining Team in BHP’s Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) and consists of three Mining Operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

About The Role

We are seeking highly motivated team members to come join our Newman Operations Teams, we currently have opportunities in both our Conventional & Autonomy Operations in a variety of roles.

If you are committed to Safety, have a positive & supportive can do attitude that will contribute to our great Team culture, then we want to hear from you! The successful candidates will have a minimum of 1-3 years Mining experience in any of the following roles;
• MineStar Autonomous... Field Builder
• Production Excavator Operator
• Dozer / Grader / Loader Operator

Reporting to the Mining Production Supervisor within the Mining Production team we are looking for candidates who possess the following.
• A Team player who can help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.
• A positively can do attitude with a strong passion for safety improving mining efficiencies.
• Minimum 2 Years Production Mining
• Computer literacy and experience with MineStar Fleet Management System
• Experience operating or working as a Field Builder within an Autonomous Mine highly regarded
• Experience operating dozers, graders, excavators, watercarts highly regarded
• Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
• Minimum C Class Driver’s license unrestricted is essential

Location

Our Newman Operations are located approximately 5 to 10kms out of Newman, Western Australia which makes it a short trip to / from work! Offering both FIFO and Residential options.

Our FIFO Accommodation includes both Village and Flats Accommodation, all conveniently located in the centre of the Newman Township, within walking distance to shops.

For those who would like to live residentially and go home every night Newman Operations offers housing & relocation packages.
