We are looking to hire a Sr. Researcher - Economics of NRM with experience of research in Economics of Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Climate change, and be skilled in quantitative techniques, literature review, policy analysis, and data analysis. They should have published papers in peer-reviewed journals and possess excellent research writing and communication skills. The role involves writing scientific reports and policy briefs, designing and conducting interdisciplinary research, collaborating with different teams and institutes, disseminating research findings, conducting impact assessment studies, and writing proposals for research funding.

The position requires the flexibility to diversify skills and activities in other relevant areas of economics and the willingness to travel for fieldwork. Fluency in English and good knowledge of Hindi is essential. It is a full-time position..

As a Sr. Researcher - Economics of NRM you will:
Write scientific reports, policy briefs on... different studies conducted by WOTR related to Climate Change Adaptation, Integrated Land and Water Management, Economics, Food and Nutrition Security, Biodiversity and others
Work in a team (lead or partner) to design and conduct interdisciplinary research including, but not limited to action research, systematic reviews and other synthesis products and database development
Collaborate with different teams, universities, research institutes to undertake various studies
Contribute to research papers and articles preferably in peer review journals and publications
Disseminate research findings to different stakeholders including village communities and represent WOTR in various workshops, conferences, meetings etc.
Design and Conduct impact assessment studies of various project interventions
Assist in and also write proposals to various donors and institutes for research funding
Perform qualitative data analysis (if required)

Apply if you have:
Proficiency with various Quantitative Techniques (sampling, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Valuation of Natural Resources, Impact Assessment methodology)
Proficiency in reviewing existing literature and draw context from it
Good knowledge of policy analysis and quantitative data analysis

Willingness to Diversify skills and activities in other relevant areas of Economics (as per the need of the organization)
Published papers in Peer review journals (preferably having been at least 2nd author)
Good research writing skills
Proficiency in developing tools for investigation (quantitative and qualitative)
The willingness to research with an interdisciplinary team
The willingness to travel to different project locations for field work.
Excellent communication (writing, speaking, presenting) skills in English
Good knowledge of Hindi
