Key Accountabilities
• Promote a risk management culture and behavior that provides adequate analysis, sound judgment, flexibility and an ideal balance of risks and rewards.
• Driving Credit Facility Review process in an efficient and effective manner, maintaining quality, consistency and agreed turnaround times within the process.
• Revamping the existing operating models, streamlining existing processes and aligning customer credit risk with Business and Credit.
• Adherence to consistent application of Bank’s Credit Policies, SOPs, QCB circulars, guidelines and DoA within the Credit Facility Review process.
• Managing key stakeholders in Business (BU Heads, Relationship Managers, Section Heads) and Credit Risk (Credit Managers, Head of Credit, Chief Credit Officer), working together to achieve common objectives.
• Driving and contributing to the technical enhancements of the main credit workflow platform, working together with the key sponsors such as Credit, Business, IT, Credit... Documentation and IT.
• Training and developing the team members. Uplifting credit skills and other technical and soft skills by providing targeted training and coaching on a needs basis.
• Manage and implement a disciplined team culture and a co-operative working environment.
• Ensuring no adverse credit audit findings on the portfolios covered by the team. Carrying-out hindsight reviews on individual CFRs/portfolios on a periodic basis and sharing outcomes for continuous improvement of team.
• Value addition to relationship building and credit risk management though periodic and adhoc research and analysis. Preparing and presenting industry papers/sector reviews for senior management for effective decision making.

Required Qualifications:
• A University Degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Finance or Management Accounting
• An MBA from a recognized university or any additional related qualifications from a professional body will be an added advantage
Required Skills and Experience:
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related role at a senior level
• Experience in frontline Relationship Management and/or Credit risk management
• Prior experience in managing a team of 10 staff or more
• Prior experience in driving and delivery of projects
• Excellent negotiation skills and effective communication skills
• Relationship building skills
• GCC working experience could be an added advantage
