We are looking for a Sr Software Engineer, who has had experience as a full stack developer, to join a stealth VC backed beauty tech startup that currently consists of a team of 13 people. We have built a proof of concept mobile app and hardware platform and we need to expand our team as we are preparing to go to market in a few months. This is a full time role that requires at least 2-3 days a week of presence at our HQs in Farringdon. This role will report directly to the CEO. YUV is a beauty technology company anchored around a patent pending hardware/software solution. Full details of the company’s product and background will be provided to qualified applicants. Responsibilities: Here is a list of some of the most relevant areas of work:-Develop a roadmap of product features and timelines working alongside the product design team.
• Assess the long term software development needs against the current software stack/architecture and engineering resources and redefine priorities.
•... Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Github repository
• Continue to develop and enhance the code base
• Work closely with Device firmware/hardware engineers to ensure smooth integration between App and native firmware.
• Work with the finance and operations departments to integrate core product usage information into the company's systems (i.e. fulfilment, accounting).
• Coordinate the smooth integration of FrontEnd and Backend code.
• Implement best practices DevOps (i.e CI/CD system)
• Implement backup contingency plans to ensure high reliability/availability.
• Ensure full comprehensive documentation
• Oversight or testing and QA Requirements:
• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Development
• Ability and interest in learning new technologies
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Experience in developing and publishing mobile Apps and interacting with Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
• Flutter/Firebase knowledge is not a requirement but a plus.
• MondoDB familiarity is not a requirement but a plus.
• Interest in AI/ML, Machine Vision
