Qualifications:
Academically qualified with a recognized university bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering. 8 Years or more experience in supporting Naval Shipbuilding projects Nova Scotia Professional Engineer (P.Eng) License or equivalent Professional Engineering License Experience in managing subcontracted design agent design activities and deliverables Experience with managing deliverables required to support naval ship classification and certification All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsibilities:
Provide Engineering Project Management oversight over design agent subcontractors to ensure on time delivery of design products that are compliant with the Royal Canadian Navy's requirements Develop and present summary presentations to keep Irving Shipbuilding management informed of SWaP-C margin consumption trends throughout design and construction Develop and present training bulletins and presentation to an industry team to raise awareness of weight control measures Develop and present training bulletins and presentation to an industry team to raise awareness of weight control measures Support the delivery of platform systems VFI to the design agent by supporting Irving Shipbuilding Supply chain through the evaluation and selection of vendor proposals and deliverables Provide engineering support to internal stakeholders within ISI to support construction readiness What We Offer:
