The Senior Accountant is responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting activities and functions. This may include but is not limited to bank reconciliations, payroll, intercompany balances, prepaids, general accruals, financial statement reviews, etc. The position demands an analytical skill-set and an ability to hit deadlines while maintaining accuracy and a sound knowledge and application... of accounting theory, principles, and procedures. This is a hybrid role that works in the office three days per week.
• Application of knowledge of US GAAP Accounting and applying the proper accounting policies and procedures to all job responsibilities.
• Reconcile corporate bank accounts and GL accounts on a daily basis.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliation for payroll related items.
• Review intercompany balances and reconcile as needed.
• Maintain all deposit and prepaid GL accounts and determine the proper period for each expense.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for invoice-based accruals.
• Identify and research reconciling items, providing adjusting entries or recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Assist in specialized areas such as fixed assets, leases, debt, inventory, commissions, royalties, ad hoc analysis, etc.
• Assist with audit requests and inquiries.
• Build relationships with cross-functional areas and handle any conflicts in a professional manner.
• Develop an intimate knowledge of the ERP and act as liaison for any improvement projects related to your assigned areas of knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience performing accounting activities.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The office environment requires the use of standard office equipment and personal computers.
• 5 years of experience performing accounting activities.
• Professional experience in network marketing or health and wellness industry.
• Previous experience in Dynamics AX ERP system.
