Your role:

You will be a Scientific Project Manager/ Research Associate and support the entire lifecycle of research & innovation projects, from the proposal preparation to the development and demonstration phases. The target research and innovation area relates to the aforementioned fields. You will also be required to... research and develop new and emerging technologies in these broader areas, as well as technology trends beyond the state of the art.

Day to Day:

Support coordination/management activities for EC-funded and national R&I Projects.

Extract and Consolidate System Requirements

Contribute, design and implement architectural and/or algorithmic design of novel technological solutions

Drive validation/evaluation phase.

Reporting on both technical and management level on the projects on the level of deliverables, technical and management reports.

Contribute to high quality journal, magazine and conference publications.

Basic Skills:

MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or / Computer Science in the Data Science field.

Having participated in the implementation and/or proposal writing of Horizon 2020 / Horizon Europe research projects.

At least 2 years of experience with designing, managing, and/or implementing solutions in any of the following areas: (i) Data Science and Semantics, (ii) Artificial Intelligence systems

Fluent oral and writing English skills.

Technical Skills:

Programming: R, Python, SQL, SAS, MATLAB, STATA, Java, core semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL) and reasoning techniques

Data Wrangling: Cleaning, Manipulating, and Exploring Data

Data Visualization: Creating graphs and charts to visualize data, ontology based modeling

Data Analysis: Conducting statistical analyses of data

AI and Machine Learning: Reasoning/building algorithms to learn from data (e.g DL, NLP)

Techniques and technologies, such as federated data discovery and sharing, DLTs, data non-fungible tokens (NFTs)

What makes you stand out?

PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or / Computer Science in the Data Science field.

At least 5 years of experience with designing, managing, and/or implementing solutions in any of the following areas: (i) Data Science, (ii) Artificial Intelligence systems
