Offer:
• Assessing, pricing, negotiating and closing renewable energy business during construction and operation - predominantly offshore/onshore wind, solar plants, energy storage systems etc. with a focus on integrated business (i.e. risks encompassing power generation, transmission and storage)
• Enhance risk assessment and pricing of integrated renewable energy assets
• Further develop respective coverage solutions according to client needs
• Support efficient and automated/digital solutions
• Supporting the development of an approach to deal with portfolios of medium-sized renewable energy risks for primary insurance business (e.g. via pre-developed platforms)
• Coordinating and cooperating closely with relevant international organization and engineering network
• Actively cultivate relationships with brokers and insurers for business development purposes and exploit new business potential through these sources
• Maintaining, expanding and actively sharing technical renewable... energy know-how inside and outside of division
• Contributing to further development of our quotation and risk evaluation tools
• Preparing with regards to contents and conduct seminars/workshops for training purposes and actively participate in events (working groups, congresses, seminars, publications)
• Contributing to claims handling for major claims
• Using synergies with other lines of business
• Contributing to development of innovative insurance solutions

Profile:
• Degree in engineering together with sound technical understanding of current and future renewable energy technologies (predominantly offshore/onshore wind, and photovoltaics, Concentrated Solar Power, Battery Energy Storage Systems, hydrogen storage and associated technologies (electrolyzer, interconnectors/cables etc.), floating technologies etc.), electrical engineering degree preferred
• Several years of work experience in a relevant renewable energy industry
• Several years risk assessment expertise in primary or re-insurance would be an asset
• Willingness to share and actively advance the Munich RE engineering community knowledge in above mentioned renewable energy technologies
• General familiarity with (re-)insurance administration and/or pricing tools or the willingness to quickly become acquainted with these
• General familiarity with insurance coverage and bespoke solutions or the willingness to quickly become acquainted with these
• Ability to assess risks autonomously with the aid of other Munich RE resources
• Good social and negotiation skills focusing on customer needs
• Strong analytical skills and a high level of self motivation and personal responsibility
• Team player embracing the new hybrid working culture in Munich RE
• Good command of MS-Office-Tools
• Fluent language skills in German and English; knowledge of additional languages is of advantage
• Willingness to travel in and outside Europe
