Job Description

Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production release. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the products are developed and released to production.

Key Tasks
• Working and collaborating with product and technical teams to identify and build cloud solutions
• Automating cloud-based functions and platforms throughout the system
• Develop/build/maintain continuous integration/deployment pipelines and DevOps tools for Cloud Center of Excellence
• Designs and implements available, cost-efficient, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems for Cloud Center of Excellence
• Designs, delivers, and supports Cloud... Architecture solution, based on defined standards for Cloud Center Of Excellence from an Application and Infrastructure perspective
• Identify, create and deliver multiple Cloud architecture patterns and implementations to drive customer outcomes
• Designs reference Architecture and provide input to the DevOps team for implementation of codified stacks that meet the needs of the applications
• Educates team to design and implement architectures based on best practices

Provides hands-on technical coaching to accelerate Cloud learning across the Cloud Center of Excellence
• Assist with building and implementation of standardized offerings such as:
• Repositories & registries for build/deployment artifacts
• Automated testing frameworks for applications and infrastructure
• Assists with implementation of standardized offerings to facilitate operational health of stacks throughout their lifecycle:
• Metrics collection
• Log collection
• Event management and routing
• Inventory, capacity, and billing/tag management
• Assist with providing inputs for the development of standardized offerings
• Assists with building and implementation Cloud Architecture solution, based on defined security standards for Cloud Center of Excellence
• Assists with regular testing and scanning of Cloud products and application customers to provide compliance with overall security standards
• Assists with the delivery of simple Cloud security patterns and implementations based on customer requirements
• Educates Cloud Center of Excellence team to design and implement secure coding and continuous security practices within their applications

Experience
• Design, development and deployment of business software at scale
• Knowledge of AWS Well Architected Framework and Cloud migration industry standards and best practices
• Experience in managing challenges of migrating systems and workloads to the Cloud
• Experience in Software design patterns (microservices, messaging, distributed architectures)
• Understanding of infrastructure and application security
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies
• Basic understanding of IT compliance and risk management requirements
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards
• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• Ability to take "ownership" with high sense of urgency and work like an "entrepreneur"
• Ability to think outside the box
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Technical writing skills for documenting environments and procedures
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment technologies
• Experience with test-driven development frameworks for application and infrastructure code

- Experience with infrastructure-as-a-service platforms
• Experience in the following areas:
• Sys admin in using OS platform (Linux/Unix)
• Firm grasp of networking fundamentals such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.;
• Experience with relational database system (Sql Server, MySql, Postgresql)
• Understanding of automation practices throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application life-cycle
• Experience with tooling to support monitoring, telemetry, logging, and reporting/dashboarding, and continuous delivery technologies
• Strong technical background (operating systems, networking, application performance management, load balancing, security systems, etc.)
• Experience in building large distributed systems
• Experience in supporting highly available applications
• Experience with networks (routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, etc.)
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools
• Basic understanding of some industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST
• Experience with security solutions such as WAF, IPS, and anti-DDOS systems
• Understanding of IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX etc.).
• Experience with network / perimeter security platforms
• Understanding of encryption in-flight and at-rest practices, as well as certificate and secrets management, security event & incident management

Credentials

- AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate or higher
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or higher
• ITIL Foundations
• Certified Kubernetes Developer or Administrator
