Resident Engineer:
About the role - The Resident Engineer typically will have responsibility for the site supervision activities in relation to concurrent sewer network and wastewater treatment plant works contracts
Below represents the core responsibilities of this role; this is by no means an exhaustive list:
Core Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Team Leader / Project Manager
• Co-ordination of Assistant Resident Engineers and other supervision staff
• Liaison with the other members of the Engineer’s Team
• Administration of technical, financial, and contractual aspects of the works contracts
• Coordinating Contract interfaces
• Liaison with Stakeholders
• Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on the same
• Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed
• Assessment of Contractor performance against Contractual KPIs
• Assessment of Contractor submissions including programs, method statements, temporary works designs, and preparation of clear comments
• Supervision the works, keeping records, measuring, managing correspondence, and contractual documentation
• Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
• Training will be provided to fulfill the requirements of your role, and your participation in all essential training will be required.
• To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves
Qualifications and skills required:
• A minimum qualification of a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Project Management, or the equivalent
• Experience in a similar role and environment is an added advantage.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of working experience in managing the supervision of construction works involving water/sewer pipelines and water/wastewater treatment plants.
• Member of Professional Institution / Registered Engineer.
• Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint, etc.
• Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage many tasks concurrently.
• Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
• You will have an agile and “Can Do” mindset
• Ambitions self-starter with high self-standards.
