Huawei’s German Research Center in Nuremberg (Nuremberg Research Center) is responsible for Network Energy Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning. Now we are looking for a

Mechanical Laboratory Assistant (m/f/d)

to contribute to the development of our Huawei Power Conversion Technology Laboratory, which will play an important role in designs and... develops power converters and control systems for applications such as data center, PV, AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies in Huawei Network Energy Business Unit. The candidate will be part of HUAWEI Energy R&D Competence Center in Nuremberg.

Responsibilities
• Realizing the build of the prototypes regarding mechanical requirements
• Construct and build mechanical assemblies
• Plan, organize, manage and operate our mechanical workshop
• Cooperation with sub-suppliers to support our projects to clarify technical questions etc.
• Support R&D test set-ups and support the lab infrastructure

Requirements
• * Apprenticeship in mechatronics or technician in mechanical construction
• Solid experience in design and construction of mechanical assemblies
• Ability to create partnerships with metal workshops and handle the manufacturing of the designed CAD models
• Knowledge in CAD software e.g. Solidworks is a plus
• Experience in organizing and maintaining lab infrastructure and work with mechanical tools
• Good German skills and good English skills (working language)
