Position Summary:

The Senior Front-End Web Developer is a part of the Web Marketing team and is responsible and accountable for leading the development of new features and functionality in support of our public-facing school websites. This position works with other cross-functional members of the web development team to provide front end development capabilities, web content management system maintenance and production support, mobile first optimization, testing & QA, and site performance optimization. The team overall is responsible for design, development, and maintenance of various websites, with a specific emphasis on usability, performance, and scalability. As a senior front-end developer, you will find new ways of solving critical issues and bring frameworks and best practices to create modern, responsive, optimized, and compliant templates, components and websites. We are looking for an inspired, mission-driven senior web developer who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership, and can break down the world into objects and classes.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop rich site features and functionality for public-facing websites across multiple brands to advance the customer digital experience.
• Recommend improvements to front-end development workflows and practices which will help to improve efficiency, quality, page speed, and performance.
• Optimize front-end code to ensure websites perform quickly from both a user and an SEO perspective
• Ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices, company coding standards, and best cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Lead the design and architecture development of new functionality to ensure business requirements are met.
• Create web/UI experiences for A/B testing programs and site personalization initiatives.
• Collaborate with UX and technology partners in the organization to translate UI/UX wireframes and designs into actual code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to achieve a final Web product.
• Build and maintain templates within the CMS framework that follow web & SEO best practices.
• Recommend new technologies that enhance our web product offering and meet business challenges.
• Lead and participate in team agile ceremonies such as daily standups, refinement, and planning.
• Perform quality assurance self-checks and troubleshoot issues prior to release in testing and production environments to ensure code quality and integrity.
• Support and mentor front-end developers during integration of code into websites and applications.
• Stay abreast of the latest frameworks, trends and front-end technologies, UI and UX best practices, responsive design, image formats, lazy loading, navigation, animation, forms, validation, modals etc.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline with 5-7+ years of software/web UI engineering experience of similar scope
• Strong experience with Java Script Tool kits (Angular, JQuery, etc.), CSS, HTML, Java required
• Strong experience in responsive and mobile-first development
• Experience developing websites within an enterprise-level web content management system framework, utilizing components & templates; Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) preferred
• Experience working in a Scrum-Agile environment
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and other collaboration tools
• Demonstrated understanding of Web standards (W3C) and accessibility (WCAG 2.1) required / 508 compliance for web applications
• Experience working from prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Invision, Sketch, or Figma
• Prior experience developing web features in A/B testing and/or site personalization tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter who is continuously driven to improve their work product
• A team player with an eye for detail

The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado/New York/California/Washington State-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $80,000-$90,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Benefits available to eligible employees can be seen at:
