Exploration Manager

The Exploration Manager is responsible for leading the team of Geology professionals, while planning and supervising the execution of the regional exploration strategy, managing program budgets, planning and execution of drilling programs, geophysical and geochemical surveys, compilation and interpretation of data, and preparation of technical reports. Reporting directly to the Exploration and Geology... Manager, you will drive Silver Lake's exploration strategy in the region. You are a passionate and results-driven professional, bringing your technical expertise to this dynamic and challenging role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure systems, standards and procedures are developed and applied universally and consistently within the exploration department.
• Technical responsibility for:
• Safety and safe work practices of all employees and contractors.
• Technical leadership of the geological team based within the exploration area.
• Leadership of the exploration team encompassing, division of tasks, regular communication, and feedback, assisting in the geologist's professional development.
• All aspects of exploration geology encompassing:
• Target generation
• Geological documentation (including table 1 of 2014 JORC code)
• Logistical planning
• Budget creation and maintenance
• Regulatory documentation (i.e., Permitting, Annual Reports, and Assessments)
• Providing requested input to overall company exploration plan
• Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of exploration activities
• Providing leadership and maintaining SLR confidentiality
• Recommend and introduce appropriate data capture, storage and reporting tools that ensure efficient dissemination of information and data integrity.

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Geology
• High level of experience in gold exploration, ideally within narrow-vein Archean systems
• Experience planning, preparing, and executing permitted work programs
• Experience managing budgets and prioritizing expenditures
• Experience compiling and interpreting large datasets to generate a series of ranked exploration targets underpinned by fundamental geological principals
• A demonstrated understanding of the formation and evolution of Archean greenstone systems with a focus on mineral exploration techniques
• Sound understanding of structural controls on gold mineralization at regional and local scales
• A demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team in a dynamic environment while maintaining program deadlines
• A positive and constructive attitude and the ability to thrive in a close-knit team environment
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license.
