For our client, one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world, a global product leader in propulsion solutions, we are looking for a Senior Accountant for their HQ in Bucharest, the activity being carried-out 20% from the office and 80% is remote.

The Senior Accountant is part of the General accounting and controlling department and it supports the month-end close process, balance sheet notes, group and internal audits, and technical projects in the management accounting area, according to US GAAP Standards (and internal policies and regulations).

The role involves leveraging accounting and general ledger experience to perform activities in collaboration with cross-business teams.

Key responsibilities:
• Bookkeeping in various ERP modules: fixed assets, payables, receivables, banking, and personnel
• Performing monthly account reconciliations, ensuring sufficient and quality backups;
• Performing US and local GAAP month-end closing activities: journals booking, HFM... reporting, month-end schedule;
• Preparing to review and control accounting journals;
• Ensuring all entries comply with internal and external audit specifications;
• Producing routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management;
• Responding to specific questions from business stakeholders and clarifying situations when necessary ;
• Supporting Finance Manager in preparation of monthly and yearly financial activities.

Requirements:
• University Degree in Economics
• Previous 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting/ finance;
• Good knowledge of MS Excel;
• Advanced level of English, written and verbal;
• ERP knowledge – SAP;
• Analytical skills and ability to prioritize, strong collaboration, communication skills, and ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders.
